1840s White Cotton Work Trousers
This pair of 1840s trousers is a very practical item for the working man; you may have seen such associated with miners, builders, and farmers. They are made of white cotton duck, and have pockets hidden by the fall front. These came with the original braces, which have special pull tabs to easily adjust the braces up or down to suit the position you have to be in to work. A gusset was added later when someone wanted to let them out; it is not original and can be ignored when noting the cut of the trousers.
